UPLAND BIRD POPULATIONS

WILD SHARPTAIL GROUSE, RUFFED GROUSE, HUNGARIAN PARTRIDGE AND PHEASANT

The Blackfeet Reservation covers approximately 1.5 million acres. Its northern boundary is the Alberta Canadian border. Its western boundary partially borders  Glacier National Park and the "Rocky Mountain front" where the Great Plains meet the magnificent mountains, west and northwest of Great Falls.

SHARPTAIL GROUSE and HUNS

With over 1.5 million acres available to hunt, the sea of native grass lands seem limitless where the Rocky Mountain front meets the vast open plains and is home to large populations of wild Sharptails and Hungarian Partridge.

This Montana landscape offers an abundance of wild native upland birds.

Simply put, the bird hunting is spectacular!

Fall Grouse Hunting with bow - StoneHouse at Duck Lake, Montana

RUFFED GROUSE

Personally I prefer hunting these birds with a traditional long bow. It definitely makes for a more challenging hunt.

Feel free to bring your bow and spend a day roaming the Aspen and Pine covered hills just outside the boundaries of Glacier National Park.

It's an adventure of a lifetime.

Water Foul Montana

WATER FOWL

The Blackfeet Reservation is located on the Central Fly Zone and the extraordinary hunting is a once in a lifetime experience for our guests.

Lay await in ground blinds for thousands of Canadian, snow geese and mallard duck while they search for landing spots and feeding areas.

CAST & BLAST

It’s alway cast and blast at the StoneHouse.

There is no added cost in our package deals when it comes to bird hunting and fishing.

Once you limit out on birds for the day we are more than happy take you fishing.
