Build It And They Will Come
My reasoning behind building the StoneHouse and using it as a vacation rental, was to build a place so people and hopefully opportunities would come to me not the other way around. I have had a variety of guest at the StoneHouse including the likes of Hope Solo, Back Country Magazine, Trout TV, Extreme Trek, to mention a just a few.
About a month ago, I was contacted by a production company out of Jackson Hole Wyoming called KGB Productions owned and operated by Chris Kitchen. They do a wide variety of outdoor videography and had been turned on to my music and wanted to use my song, “Meats In The Freezer – Let’s go Skiing,” in an upcoming production centered around the National Parks Centennial Celebration and winter activities within its boundaries.

Their plan was to spring ski in Glacier Park this May on the west side near Sperry Glacier. I sent them a link to the StoneHouse website and encouraged them to consider Many Glacier instead and using the StoneHouse as a base camp on the way in and out. They couldn’t change their west side plans, but were so intrigued by the StoneHouse, that once they finished up their six-day trek in the park they made a special trip last weekend to stay a night with me at the StoneHouse and interview me for their project.
They had a chance in the morning to ride into Many Glacier to get more early morning footage before we did the interview. They were so excited when the returned later that morning because they had seen a Grizzly, two Moose, Mountain Goats and several Big Horn Sheep. I had told them that spring and fall are the best times to view wildlife at Many Glacier.
In return for doing the interview and giving them a place to crash for the night, they shot some great drone video of the StoneHouse before they left. Go to StoneHouse Videos to check it out.
I love sharing the StoneHouse with people and turning them on to the east side of Glacier National Park. I hope you will be next.
