The StoneHouse at Duck Lake

Stay with us and experience on Glacier National Park's east side.

Our House

Our private residence is a perfect vacation rental for the adventure travelers and eco-tourists who are looking for a unique Montana experience.  Our home has: 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 kitchens and sleeps up to 10 folks comfortably.

Glacier Park

The east side of the Continental Divide is our favorite part of Glacier National Park. It's home to the Blackfeet Reservation, Goat Haunt,  Belly River, Many Glacier, St. Mary, Cutbank Valley, Two Medicine and East Glacier area.

Things To Do

We LOVE the east side of GNP with all the mountain activities you could ask for such as hiking, fishing, hunting, backpacking, wildlife viewing and more. It's a wilderness paradise and we are happy to share this Montana lifestyle with you!

We have stayed at Stone House a couple of times now and we always enjoy it. Quiet, comfortable and clean and only 5 minutes from Glacier National Park.  We took our son and his fiancée this time and they fell in love with the StoneHouse! David is easy to work with and goes the extra distance to ensure that your stay is a memorable one. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the StoneHouse. The house is solidly constructed, very comfortable, and the decor was authentically Montana (not that I am any expert being a New Englander). I have traveled a lot for work and pleasure, but I don't think I have slept in a more comfortable bed away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the rest of the house was well-stock with necessary supplies. The location is very quiet, which allows for a very restful sleep, especially after a long day hiking in the park.

Some of us have been coming to Montana/GNP since the 90's and have rented properties and stayed in and around the park, so we are well familiar with the area and the lodging options available. We actually learned of The StoneHouse from David when he was still performing at Many Glacier Hotel. We've been meaning to rent the property to see what it was like and we finally pulled the trigger this year. After the fact, we only wished we had stayed longer.

Creating a simple life is about being intentional.

It’s about holding onto the things that matter, and letting go of the things that don’t.

We built the StoneHouse to create a space where visitors could experience joy in the every day moments while being a part of this unique natural landscape.

It's about a hike in the park. It's watching a storm build over the Cut Bank Plains. It's playing a board game with your kids. It's watching the osprey dive for fish.

It's all of this and so much more. We look forward to sharing this space with you.

Why Stay With Us?

There are many lodging options in and around Glacier National Park - Campgrounds, historic hotels, fancy lodges, discount motels and other VRBOs.

But for those seeking to get off the main road and explore the less known, we're the place for you.

We're close enough to the popular tourist attractions yet far enough away from the chaotic crowds.

The StoneHouse offers a quieter perspective to immerse yourself in this amazing landscape.
